Material Handler

Hours: M-F 7:00am- 3:30pm

Location: Menomonee Falls, WI

Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

 

Summary

Pulls and organizes all components needed to manufacture products at press and stages those components based on production schedules. Returns unused materials to inventory when manufacturing is complete.  Tracks and maintains ink and other press room inventories assigned by Supply Chain Manager.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review orders at press to determine what components are needed to manufacture the product at press.
  • Transfer materials between buildings and throughout the building using a standup forklift, pallet jacks and 26’ box truck.
  • Collects, labels, organizes, and stages job components at press according to production schedules.
  • Returns unused components to inventory when manufacturing at press is complete.
  • Mix ink needed at press.
  • Transfer work in progress from press to the finishing department.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly inventory counts.
  • Keeps press room neat and orderly.
  • Empty waste bins daily.
  • Wash and file print plates daily after use.
  • Communicate daily with press operators via Teams and Email
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and quality system regulations

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret product specifications.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or challenges from customers and co-workers.  Ability to read, write and present reports, letters, and other business correspondence in a logical and professional manner.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics.  Ability to read a ruler and convert measurements from fractions to decimal equivalents and vice versa quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to use arms, hands, and fingers to lift material that averages 50 pounds.  Position requires individual to be standing and moving a majority of the time on the job.  Ability to see colors accurately is critical when assisting at and operating press.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Individual will come into contact with cleaning solvents at press side.
